Do You Know Patients Who Are Struggling to Find a Family Doctor? 

You’re not alone. It is estimated that nearly 6.5 million Canadians do not have access to basic healthcare support. This lack of accessibility has contributed to overcrowded emergency rooms and longer wait times for primary care. Among patients without a primary care provider, 24% will go to the ER for non-urgent health issues while only 14% go to pharmacists. We want this to change.

To address the healthcare access gap, MedEssist's Access to Care (ATC) program is designed to empower pharmacists to assess and provide medications and medical supplies for specific conditions. This initiative enables pharmacies to establish collaborative practice agreements with medical professionals, expanding pharmacists' drug therapy management capabilities and transforming pharmacies into pharmacist-led clinics.
